Thank you God for my dad's laughter and sense of humor. He is so funny and is taking all of this with a grain of salt! Please, God, don't let him lose that sense of humor.
Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

Dear Murr Family - we just learned that Doug is ill last night at Beth Israel. Reading this blog is a blessing because we know he has a wonderful support team. We continue to cover you in prayer. We have been through this with Tom's dad when he was suddenly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. God's word says that our experiences are to help others with the help we received through Him. I am a nurse practitioner and work in a cancer diagnostic service, so if I can be of help in any way at all please call me. In the meantime we will keep you in our prayers. Please hug Doug and Debbie both for us - they have been and are a blessings to us.
ReplyDeleteWell, I haven't been able to stop the tears since I heard this news, but hearing your dad's laughter in this clip and seeing Debbie's sweet smile has me laughing now too!
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of a song that I learned as a kid at First Baptist..."This happy smile that I'm wearin', you know my Jesus put it here to stay, and the world didn't give it to me, and the world can't take it away." Sending tons of love, hugs and prayers from Wyoming!

Doug and Debbie...just wanted you to know how very much you are loved. I'm also praying for you and am very thankful for this blog. It gives us specifics on how to pray. May our Lord G-d of Israel keep you and your family strong as He fights the battle for you.
ReplyDeleteShalom and Love,
